Chapman University, Sandi Simon Center of Dance

Chapman University is currently in the construction process for the Dance Center Relocation to the historic Village Park Orchards (VPO) Packing House. The University is relocating its Department of Dance from its current campus location in the Partridge Building to the historic VPO Packing House located at 350 North Cypress. The relocation will house the Department of Dance in approximately 33,000 GSF of the over 50,000 GSF of the VPO building.
The historic VPO Packing House has recently undergone significant exterior and site upgrades. The current project includes the completion of seismic upgrades, the design and construction of a new chiller plant to service the Dance Center and allows for future expansion to service future VPO tenants; several dance studios and a small performance space. Chapman has committed to meeting a set of sustainability goals.

3QC provided an OPR Workshop as well as a Fitwel Gap Analysis and Fitwel Certification Administration for the Dance Center. Our efforts contributed to the project achieving Fitwell for Buildings: Commercial Interior Space v2.1 Design Certification with a Fitwel 1 Star Rating.

3QC will continue to serve Chapman University by performing LEED-like Enhanced Commissioning services for Chapman University’s Dance Center Relocation project, beginning with Phase 1 Core and Shell and moving into Phase 2 Tenant Improvement.
