Judicial Council of California Capital Programs
Multiple Projects
Multiple Courthouses
Across California
Since 2007, 3QC has been working with the Judicial Council of California providing quality assurance services to their Capital Programs Division. The program encompasses over 500 buildings statewide and includes the $5 billion lease-revenue bond new construction and renovation program under SB1407 financing the construction of 41 new courthouses. Under successive Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contracts (ID/IQ), 3QC has commissioned 11 new court facilities and have completed retro-commissioning assessments of three existing courthouses.
We believe that our repeated success working for the JCC is due to our understanding of how to integrate our quality process in with the critical project milestones, helping the entire team succeed. Our consistent leadership representing the owner ’s specific requirements facilitates a final project that meets all the clients needs. On large programs like this one, we use the lessons we’ve learned from previous projects to assist our clients with continuous improvement and cost savings. We have consistently provided valuable (critical) review, coordination and inspection efforts to each of our JCC project team members to focused on strategic requirements and tasks. During the project design phase, we commonly focus on the need for complete and concise building control sequences for each building system. We ensure that the equipment is designed, installed and tuned for optimum energy efficiency and operation. During the early construction phase we coordinate our inspection efforts to help the construction team succeed by identifying quality control requirements and trade integration challenges early. This facilitates signficant communication and quality so the team can perform the work correct the first time; reducing rework cost or schedule impact. 3QC provided commissioning on the following courts:
