The Merced County Mental Health Center serves the Mental Health Department as a three-story tenant improvement project. This facility includes a Residential Crises Center, a County Conference Center, and Administrative offices for the Mental Health staff. In addition, there is an existing two-story building that has a ground level Outpatient Treatment Center and with administration and personnel rooms.
This tenant improvement project was constructed to meet high performance environmental and energy efficiency goals. New building systems were installed, including split system heat pumps, exhaust fans to exhaust air, new high efficiency LED type lighting fixtures and lighting controls, new utility service connections for domestic water, sanitary sewer, and natural gas. Additionally, a new large capacity tank type gas water heater, a new Energy Management System (EMS) that controls HVAC systems serving the building, and new low voltage systems were installed.
3QC was hired as the Commissioning Authority by the Merced County Mental Health District to ensure full functionality of the building systems in compliance with Title 24 requirements. Our team developed and documented the commissioning process as outlined in the project specifications and in the Commissioning Plan. 3QC helped the County meet high-performance environmental and energy efficiency goals.
