Commissioning Provider

Summary

Responsible for performing commissioning process tasks and providing quality deliverables meeting the 3QC Cx Process. Specific tasks may include design review, project meetings, site observation (inspection) visits, project issue tracking, as well as plan/report production and project team coordination.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Business Development Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, contractors and architects.
  • Communicate potential project sales opportunities to 3QC Sales team.
  • Look for opportunities to up-sell Clients with additional Cx services on existing projects.Business Operations.
  • Participate and/or lead project commissioning.
  • Participate and/or lead in reviews of design documents, submittals, and reports for completeness, accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Perform site visits for system/facility assessments, system functionality assessments, energy efficiency evaluations, installation reviews, witnessing start-ups, witnessing contractor testing/demonstrations and Functional Testing.oPlanning and Conducting Site VisitsoDeliverables After Site Visits.
  • Participate in tasks of research, data collection, and data analysis.
  • Participate in development of Prefunctional and Functional Checklists, testing procedures or sequence of operations, Cx Plan/Reports, meeting presentations and all project deliverables as requested.
  • Prepare necessary project documents on a timely basis, consistent with 3QC’s format.
  • Participate in project system’s troubleshooting, diagnostics and solution development.
  • Document, report and communicate the project quality requirements, following 3QC’s standard practices.Business Administration.
  • Provide candidate recommendations through industry networking opportunities.
  • Participate in the recruiting interviewprocess.

Overall Attributes

  1. Understanding and experience with the practice of Commissioning in accordance with ASHRAE Guideline 0 and other related guidelines.
  2. Understanding of complex HVAC, lighting, and control systems, including an ability to evaluateand troubleshoot.
  3. Knowledge of TAB procedures and theory.
  4. Understand/familiarity with governing codes (Title-24, CMC, CBC, CEC, CFC etc.) and standards (ASHRAE).
  5. Highly motivated and self-directed, with history of taking initiative to solve problems.
  6. Ability to communicate technical information as a team player – good collaborator!
  7. Willingness to engage in continuing education to increase your working knowledge and understanding of MEP controls, low-voltage systems, building enclosure problems, sustainability issues, energy management principles, and energy efficiency strategies.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Fieldwire and related computer skills.
  9. Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Science, or equivalent business experience and 5+ years in the AEC or GC industry.
  10. Commissioning industry certificate is required – or obtained within first 6 months of hire.
