Commissioning Intern
Summary
This position is responsible for completing tasks assigned through the engineering team members producing project deliverables for the mechanical, electrical and plumbing aspects of a project from pre-construction through construction and post construction phases.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Creating project equipment lists from drawings, listing specified HVAC, lighting and other building systems.
- Creating draft specifications related to the Commissioning requirements.
- Reviewing equipment lists, plans, specs and other project documents to create Pre-functional Checklists and Functional Testing Checklists; which assists the contractor and other engineering team members in the field to ensure equipment is installed and operating correctly.
- Participate in the submittal process for MEP equipment.
- Assisting in the drafting of reports to document work performed on the construction sites.
Overall Attributes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Familiar with reading plans.
- Ability to multi-task, take direction from multiple sources, and self-motivated.
- The position is located in our Folsom office and all work is expected to be completed in our office.
- The number of hours required is flexible, but would expect 15-20 hours of work a week during the school semester and open to ¾ or full-time work during the summer season.
